The information collected is used solely to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the services of The Boys' Brigade App. This includes authenticating user accounts, facilitating secure peer communication, processing forum discussions, analyzing usage patterns to optimize performance, and delivering important system updates and support notifications.
Our app includes an AI assistant ("Anchor AI") powered by third-party technologies. When you utilize the AI chat feature, the text messages you input are transmitted to Google (Gemini) and OpenAI (ChatGPT) to generate intelligent responses. To protect your privacy, no personal profile identifiers (such as your name, email, phone number, or company) are shared with these services. Only the textual content of the chat query is transmitted.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with external third parties for marketing purposes. Data sharing is strictly restricted to operations necessary to run the app:
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, theft, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, please be aware that no transmission method over the internet is 100% secure.
We retain your personal data as long as your account remains active. You possess complete control over your information and can initiate account deletion at any time via the settings panel in the app. Upon confirming deletion, your Auth account is deleted, your Firestore user profile is cleared, and all your personal identifiers are removed. To preserve community discussion integrity, any forum posts, comments, or chat logs you published will remain on the platform but will be permanently anonymized and marked as authored by "Anonymous User".
We may utilize local cookies, shared preferences, and tracking tokens to manage session persistence, store application configuration preferences, and monitor view token balances for video streams.
